The person

  • A professional sales and technical person, responsible for establishing new business and ensuring client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • A combination of telesales and field sales
  • Seek and follow leads to acquire new business
  • Seek out purchasing decision makers and develop working relationships with them.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients within established parameters.
  • Demonstrate product remotely via web software
  • Successfully close sales.
  • Work towards exceeding predetermined quotas set by management.
  • Maintain contact with existing clients in order to obtain additional business.

Skills

  • Experience in a technical sales environment – Required
  • An understanding of GSM and GPS technology – Desirable, but not Required
  • Prepared to learn and adapt in a fast changing technical environment – Required
  • Used to working with a degree of autonomy but also prepared to follow set procedures –Required
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written – Required
  • Superior interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a rapport with people of all demographics both on the phone and in person – Required
  • Professional demeanor at all times coupled with complete integrity – Required
  • Superior phone presence – Required
  • Confidence, ambition and self-motivation – Required
  • Must thrive when working independently –Required
  • A keen listener, able to pick up clues and read signals that will help close sales – Required
  • A knowledge of database technology particularly SQL – Desirable, but not Required
  • Must be proficient in MS Office products like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint – Required

Educational Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent would be expected.
